Climate Innovation.NRW – a new focus centre at Gateway

We are happy to announce that a new project launched at Gateway ESC: Climate Innovation.NRW is a centre for climate expertise that supports startups and startup consultants throughout North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) in assessing and developing climate protection potentials to make their business models and products more climate-friendly at an early stage.

New perspectives for green startups in NRW

This program is accompanied by an expert hub and networking events, to promote the exchange of experience between universities, startups, economy and society. We develop joint recommendations to make NRW the pioneering region for green startups.

Climate Innovation.NRW is a joint project with the Sustainability Office of the University of Cologne. It is funded with 1.25 million euros over three years by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
